Amygdala
(Bona Dea Series - Book 2)SciFiReviewed 28 Oct 2018
This is the second book in the series, and sees the women of the Bona Dea facing more danger as they pursue their dream of getting safely back to earth in their badly damaged spaceship.
I enjoyed this book even more than the first (Subcutis). The alien civilisations that the crew come in to contact with are well constructed, and feel like something more than a simplistic backdrop against which the explorers' struggles are played out.
My favourite character Gypsy also plays a bigger part in this volume, and it's great to see more from a character us socially awkward nerds can really get behind.
In summary, an excellent addition to a very enjoyable series - give it a try!
